How to use Plastic Shattaf For The Bathroom correctly?

A plastic shattaf, also known as a handheld bidet sprayer or Muslim shower, is a common bathroom fixture used for personal hygiene purposes. When using a plastic shattaf in the bathroom, follow these steps for proper usage:

  1. Check the water pressure: Before using the plastic shattaf, ensure that the water pressure is not too high. High water pressure can lead to splashing or discomfort. Adjust the water pressure if your bathroom has a water pressure control valve.

  2. Proper grip: Hold the plastic shattaf firmly with one hand while using the other hand to control the water flow. Some shattafs have a trigger or lever to control the water flow, while others have a knob or control on the tap.

  3. Positioning: Position yourself comfortably on the toilet seat or in the bathroom, ensuring easy access to the area you want to clean.

  4. Cleaning direction: The plastic shattaf is typically used for personal hygiene after using the toilet. It is essential to use it in the correct direction, moving from front to back, to avoid spreading bacteria from the anal area to the genital area.

  5. Water temperature: Check the water temperature before using the plastic shattaf. It is recommended to use warm water for comfort and hygiene.

  6. Water pressure control: Start with a gentle water flow to avoid splashing and gradually increase the pressure if needed for effective cleansing.

  7. Cleaning process: Use the plastic shattaf to rinse the desired area thoroughly. Be gentle and ensure the water reaches all the necessary areas for proper cleaning.

  8. Use toilet paper if needed: After using the plastic shattaf, you can use toilet paper to pat dry the cleaned area. Using a bidet or shattaf is often more hygienic and environmentally friendly than relying solely on toilet paper.

  9. Cleaning the plastic shattaf: Regularly clean the plastic shattaf to prevent the buildup of soap scum or mineral deposits. Use a mild soap and water to clean the sprayer, and rinse it thoroughly.

  10. Storage: If the plastic shattaf has a holder or hook, store it in a convenient and accessible location near the toilet.

  11. Hygiene: To maintain good hygiene, always wash your hands with soap and water after using the plastic shattaf.
